3. Labradorite – Knowledge

As a gemstone, Labradorite became popular in Europe in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. It was first found in Canada in 1770 and takes its name from the Canadian peninsula of Labrador. The stone has a remarkable play of colors. It is as if the stone seems to glow from within — Labradorescence!

A folkloric story of the Inuit people claims that it fell from the frozen fire of the Northern Lights. It is said that a warrior even tried to free the light with his spear, but the power of the rocks was so great that this beautiful spectrum of light crystallized forever within them. Thus it became a magical stone that has been used and is still used by all who travel and embrace the universe in search of knowledge and guidance.

Labradorite is therefore considered a lucky stone of magic. The reason for this is the belief that those who used or carried the stone had access to wise knowledge and a set of skills that seemed magical to others.
